A playlist is only as good as the voice. TONGUES uses a fallback chain so a rare dialect does not mean a mute card. ElevenLabs first, then Forvo’s archive of native speakers, then Apple text-to-speech, then base pronunciation — descending until something speaks. You never tap a word and get silence.
That chain is why “every language and dialect” is not a slogan that breaks when you leave the top ten. You can still hear the card. You can still put it in a playlist. You can still review it with FSRS when you are back at the screen.
Travel, sleep, and the lock screen
